PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — A lawsuit brought by a former Brown University student who says he was falsely accused of rape has been dismissed.

A federal judge in Providence on Wednesday dismissed the case against the Ivy League university, a wealthy alumnus and his daughter.

The case was brought by former student William McCormick III and his parents. McCormick sued because he says he was falsely accused and unfairly pressured into leaving the school.
