(CNSNews.com) - The 50 states have been told they do not have to provide government-funded prescriptions of Viagra to sex offenders. The statement from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services follows Sunday's revelation that 198 convicted rapists and other sex offenders have received Medicaid-funded Viagra in New York State since the year 2000.Florida's attorney general, Charlie Crist, also announced that 218 sex offenders in that state were given Viagra prescriptions over the last four years, at a cost of $93,000 to taxpayers.
