Shona Holmes is a self-employed, 49-year-old mother and grandmother from Ontario, Canada.  She fled to the United States for life-saving surgery after her government-run health care failed to provide the care she desperately needed.  She has become a dedicated, passionate patient advocate who feels strongly, as a grateful neighbor, about the need to communicate with as many Americans as she can about the negatives of government control of health care.
