April 19, 2013 - 11:16 AM

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) defended the Senate immigration bill in an interview with radio host Lars Larson yesterday.

Sen. Rubio said that guest workers would have to be paid "a rate higher than the American":

"[I]f an American shows up for that job, you have to hire them. If they don't show up for the job, that's when if allows you to try to bring in a guest worker - at a rate higher than the American. So, they we incentivize them not hiring the guest worker."
