A Whirlwind History Of Spin On The Embasssy Attack
October 10, 2012
A new three-minute video by the Heritage Foundation traces the evolution of what we're being told about the cause and administration's knowledge of the attack on our embassy in Libya.
The video of television news clips juxtaposes initial claims that the attack was an impromptu response to an offensive with acknowledgements that it was a premeditated terror attack.
It then provides clips of claims that the administration's intelligence knew within twenty-four hours that the attack was a terror attack, even though it took several days for the administration to abandon its narrative blaming outrage over the video.
As CNSNews.com previously reported (including video):
- White House Press Sec. Jay Carney initially downplayed the link between the Sept. 11, 2012 attack and the 9/11 attack in 2001,
- Pres. Obama used a forum at the United Nations to blame the "crude and disgusting video," and
- Pres. Obama eventually admitted the attack "wasn't just a mob attack" - without acknowledging that it was an act of terrorism.
