Appearing as a guest on Sean Hannity’s radio show, Donald Trump – moderator of the upcoming GOP debate – said that he is leaning towards endorsing one of the candidates running for the Republican nomination for president.
On the Nov. 22 show, Hannity and Trump discussed Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney as the two frontrunners in the race. Discussing Gingrich and Romney, Trump said, “I do like both of them, I know both of them, I like both of them.”
Trump added, “One of the reasons I like Newt is because he’s a member of my club in Washington.”
Hannity then asked Trump, “So you’re friends with both Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney?”
“Right.” Trump responded.
“And both of them have been calling you. Both are seeking your endorsement.”
“Are you going to endorse?” Hannity asked.
Trump responded, “Well I think I will, and you know, nothing’s easy in life and at some point I’m going to. And it’s funny they don’t want my money – they want my endorsement. Everybody wants my endorsement.”
Pressed further by Hannity on whether he had made up his mind on which candidate to endorse for the nomination Trump admitted, “I am leaning toward endorsing somebody and at some point I think it’s going to come out. “
Trump will moderate the Republican presidential debate on Tuesday, December 27th.
