Today, the 41st anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions that legalized abortion through all nine months of pregnancy and for any reason, I am urging Americans to take action to bring about the end of abortion.
I am with hundreds of thousands of people from all over the country here in the nation's capital - and thousands more are at marches in other cities and towns - to demand an end to the brutality of abortion. The tragic and misguided instance of judicial activism in 1973 that resulted in legal abortion has led to the murder in the womb of 56 million children, has taken the lives of untold numbers of women, and has irreparably harmed our society.
Both for those who are marching and those who are not, a simple, additional action that can be taken is to sign the petition to recall abortion (see RecallAbortion.com). Abortion cures no disease and provides no medical benefit. The Recall Abortion Petition, along with the book Recall Abortion by Janet Morana, makes the case powerfully and persuasively that abortion is a harmful product that needs to be taken off the market immediately, and forever.
I am urging all my fellow citizens to visit RecallAbortion.com/petition.aspx and sign the petition, which will be used to support the pro-life efforts of legislators at every level of government. Millions of Americans must join this effort for it to be successful.
