Rush Limbaugh said on his program Tuesday that if President Obama "were ever honest about what his intentions were, he'd never gotten re-elected, and maybe not elected in the first place." Limbaugh had been discussing the New York Post story that details how a Census Bureau fabricated unemployment data before the 2012 election.
"Fact: they lie. They manipulate. You know what this proves? Obama can't win, that liberals could not win an honest election in this country. If Obama were ever honest about what his intentions were, he'd never gotten re-elected, and maybe not elected in the first place. They have to lie. They have to lie about their plans. I mean this 'keep your doctor, keep your plan, your premium down $2,500' those are fraudulent, strategic, planned, well-thought out, purposeful, deceitful lies in order to impact the outcome of an election; they lie folks."
Limbaugh had played a clip of himself from December, 2011, predicting that, somehow, the government would report unemployment to be under eight percent right before the November, 2012 election.
