Adoptive father rape case goes to Ohio grand jury
TROY, Ohio (AP) — A grand jury will hear the case of an adoptive father charged with raping three boys in his care and prostituting one of them in western Ohio.
A Miami County Municipal Court judge's office says the 39-year-old Troy man agreed Tuesday to let the case go to the grand jury to determine if there is enough evidence to go to trial.
The man is charged with three counts of rape and one count of compelling prostitution. He also faces child rape charges in Montgomery County. His attorney hasn't returned telephone calls seeking comment.
Two other men are jailed on related rape charges, based on allegations the adoptive father hired out a 10-year-old boy for sex.
The Associated Press is withholding the man's name to protect the children's identities.
