Blast at bus company kills 1 in central China
BEIJING (AP) — State media say an explosion at a bus company in central China has killed one person and injured at least two others, two days after a bombing spree in another city rattled the country.
State media reports say Saturday's explosion tore through a storage room on the second floor of a two-story building in the city of Chengdu. The website for Sichuan province's government-owned newspaper says rescuers found a man covered in blood lying in the middle of the room.
The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
On Thursday, a man described as upset over a long-running land dispute set off three bombs in southern Jiangxi province's Fuzhou city, killing himself and two others and stirring sympathy among a public angry at official corruption and indifference.
