Bomb kills Afghan police officer

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — Afghan police say a motorcycle bomb has killed one police officer and wounded two others in a southern city.

Kandahar provincial police chief Gen. Abdul Razaq says the motorcycle was parked outside a police station in Kandahar city when it exploded on Monday.

The governor in the northern Baghlan province says twin bomb blasts in the city of New Baghlan on Monday wounded 23 people, including eight police officers. Governor Abdul Majid said the bombs exploded near a market selling computer equipment.
