Clinton-Era Appointee Dead in Apparent DC Suicide

An attorney who served in the Clinton administration has been found dead in an apparent suicide at a Washington law firm.
Washington (AP) - An attorney who served in the Clinton administration has been found dead in an apparent suicide at a Washington law firm.
 
The Atlanta-based firm Kilpatrick Stockton LLP says attorney Mark Levy died Thursday. In a statement, co-managing Partner Bill Dorris says Levy was highly respected for his appearances before the Supreme Court.
 
Levy served as deputy assistant attorney general in the Department of Justice between 1993 and 1995.
 
D.C. Police spokeswoman Helen Andrews says officers were called to an office building where the firm is located Thursday morning for the report of a shooting. She says investigators believe the man found there had killed himself.
