Data center power outage affecting US Airways
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — A power outage near one of US Airways' data centers in Phoenix has grounded or delayed numerous flights nationwide.
But officials at the Tempe-based carrier say they couldn't immediately say how many flights or passengers were affected.
They say the computer systems outage impacted its website and airport computer systems.
Airline spokeswoman Tina Swail says some computer systems were coming back online Friday evening.
Swail didn't any have information on when the outage occurred or what caused it or when the problem would be completely resolved.
