Hizballah Fires Missiles At Israel's Northern Border

July 7, 2008 - 8:19 PM

Jerusalem (CNSNews.com) - Missiles were fired at two Israeli army outposts along the northern border with Lebanon on Monday, military sources confirmed. Initial reports said it was not clear if there were any casualties in the Hizballah attack on the disputed Mount Dov area. From time to time, the Iranian-backed Hizballah opens fire on the Israeli positions in the area. The ferocity of Israel's response in the past has depended on whether or not there are casualties. Three weeks ago, Israel chose not to respond to a mortar attack in the same area. Israel has said it holds powerbroker Syria responsible for the actions of Hizballah and has struck Syrian targets in Lebanon in retaliation for Hizballah actions in the past.
