Husband of reality TV star says wife abducted
FRONT ROYAL, Va. (AP) — The husband of "Real Housewives of D.C." cast member Michaele Salahi says his wife has been abducted, but police in rural Virginia say they have heard from her and that she says she's fine.
The Warren County Sheriff's Office said that Tareq Salahi called Tuesday afternoon to report her missing.
It says a deputy spoke to Michaele and she assured him she had left willingly that she didn't want her husband to know where she was.
Gossip website TMZ reports that Tareq said he felt the sheriff's office wasn't taking his concerns seriously.
An FBI spokeswoman says the agency is aware of what Tareq has reported.
Calls to a number for Tareq went straight to voicemail.
The Salahis burst onto the scene in 2009 when they crashed a White House state dinner.
