EMINGTON, Ill. (AP) — A sheriff in Illinois says five people found dead in a small farming town were killed in a murder-suicide.
The five include a 29-year-old woman, a 30-year-old man, two children in elementary school and a 10-month-old baby. They were found shot to death Friday in Emington, a town of about 100 people about 80 miles southwest of Chicago.
Livingston County Sheriff Martin Meredith said Saturday that they died in a murder-suicide, but he wouldn't identify the shooter. He says the investigation is ongoing.
