In this photo by Bullit Marquez, girls in a flooded area of Bataan province in the northwestern Philippines fetch water from a communal faucet shared by neighbors who have no potable water in their homes. Typhoon Halong is worsening the seasonal monsoon rains in the Philippines, though it is forecast to stay offshore before heading toward southern Japan later this week.
