Jim Brady new editor-in-chief for Journal Register
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Newspaper and digital media publisher the Journal Register Co. says Jim Brady has been named editor-in-chief of all of its newsgathering operations nationwide.
Brady was executive editor of washingtonpost.com from November 2004 to January 2009 and founder and general manager of local news website TBD.
Journal Register said Monday that Brady will orchestrate the company's daily news coverage. Brady joined the company in March to help lead its digital transformation initiative.
Journal Register, based in Yardley, Pa., operates more than 350 products that the company says reach a monthly audience of nearly 20 million. The company has 18 newspapers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Connecticut, Ohio and New York, along with other print publications and websites.
