CAMBRIDGE, Maine (AP) — Maine state police say a man has been charged with murder following the discovery of his 63-year-old father's body on the lawn outside his home in Cambridge.

Steve McCausland of the Maine Public Safety Department says the body of Alfred Licata was found outside his home late Thursday after his wife called to report him missing.

Police say 33-year-old Angelo Licata, of Detroit, was charged with murder Friday after being questioned at the Waterville Police Department. He's being held at the Somerset County Jail.

The motive and cause of death haven't been released. An autopsy was planned Friday.

The Morning Sentinel newspaper says Alfred Licata was charged last year with illegal possession of prescription drugs and marijuana.
