New York City Mayor Using Taxpayer Money for Assault on Salt

November 9, 2010 - 10:12 AM

(CNSNews.com) – New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a leading gun control advocate, is now advocating “salt control” – using taxpayer money.

The New York Post reported Tuesday that Bloomberg is running ads, funded by taxpayers, that feature a half-opened can of soup with salt erupting from the top. The ads warns that excessive sodium intake can led to heart attack and stroke.

The Post said the ad campaign costs $370,000, with $130,000 come from New York City taxpayers and the rest from the federal government – or U.S. taxpayers.
