Parole agent shot in LA; manhunt closes freeway

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Police are hunting for a parolee who allegedly shot his parole officer in the Lake View Terrace area of Los Angeles.
Officer Karen Rayner says the parole agent was shot in the face at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
A SWAT unit and helicopters are searching the area for the shooter. Surface streets in the area and part of Interstate 210 have been closed for the search.
