GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Police in suburban Phoenix are moving to what they describe as the second phase of a search for a missing 5-year-old girl after they finished a grid search for the child.

The grid search for Jahessye (JES'-ee) Shockley wrapped up Thursday, and police have taken down their command post.

Jahessye has been missing since Tuesday afternoon, when she was last seen at her Glendale home by her three older siblings.

Officer Tracey Breeden tells The Associated Press Friday that Glendale police are still looking for a tip that will lead them to Jahessye, and they want the public to offer any information they have. Police revealed few details about what the second phase of the search entails, other than following up on tips.

Breeden says police have checked and rechecked registered sex offenders living in the area and even searched their residences, and nothing indicated the child was there.
