CLEVELAND (AP) — Police say a barroom security guard allegedly attacked by up to 10 men over a $2 cover charge shot and killed two of the men. The others were sent fleeing with a round he fired into the ceiling.
The ordeal played out about 1 a.m. Thursday in Cleveland. When officers arrived, they found two men shot in the chest and the security guard injured. He was treated at a hospital.
Police say a group of eight to 10 men attacked the security guard and tried to take his weapon.
People at the scene told WJW-TV that the attack resulted from a $2 cover charge owed from last week.
One alleged attacker was arrested on a charge of aggravated robbery.
