PHOENIX (AP) — Police are scrambling to find a 5-year-old Arizona girl who has been missing for two days.
More than 100 officers and volunteers are canvassing the 3-mile area in Glendale where she was last seen and following up on dozens of tips from the public.
Jahessye (JES'-ee) Shockley was last seen at home by her three older siblings around 5 p.m. Tuesday after their mother left run an errand. Police suspect the girl left through the front door.
The girl's father does not live with the family, and police say neither parent is under suspicion.
Police have no evidence of a kidnapping but have not ruled it out and are growing more concerned the longer Jahessye remains missing.
