Power back after partial outage at Phoenix airport
PHOENIX (AP) — Officials say it took about two hours to return power after an outage at a terminal at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
The outage happened at about 8 p.m. Sunday and delayed a handful of flights.
Passengers sat in a dimly lit terminal waiting for power to be restored. Arizona Public Service officials tell KTVK-TV (http://bit.ly/nVAFDa ) a defective underground cable was the cause of the Terminal 3 outage.
American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue Airways and Sun Country Airlines all fly in and out of Terminal 3.
An airport spokeswoman says five flights arriving Sunday evening were delayed.
Things returned to normal once the power was restored, and it was business as usual Monday morning.
