Report adds details in Wis. fetal abduction case
MILWAUKEE (AP) — The boyfriend of a Milwaukee woman accused of killing a pregnant mother and slicing out her fetus says the suspect had miscarried twice in the four years they've been together.
The comment was part of a report released Thursday by the Milwaukee County medical examiner's office.
Annette Morales-Rodriguez is charged in the deaths of the pregnant woman and the baby. She denies any previous miscarriages. Her public defender did not immediately return a message Thursday.
Prosecutors describe the 33-year-old Morales-Rodriguez as a woman desperate to give her boyfriend a son but unable to conceive. She's accused of killing 23-year-old Maritza Ramirez-Cruz last week and cutting the full-term baby from her womb in hopes of passing the baby off as her own.
Morales-Rodriguez has three other children.
