Security guard shot in arm in downtown DC
WASHINGTON (AP) — A security guard for a conservative Christian lobbying group has been shot in the arm.
Police say the shooting happened Wednesday morning at the headquarters of the Family Research Council and that one person has been taken into custody. The FBI is also responding. The motive of the shooting was unclear.
The guard is conscious and breathing.
The Family Research Council says it advocates "faith, family and freedom in public policy and public opinion."
