Small plane crashes onto northern NJ interstate

HARDING, N.J. (AP) — Emergency crews are on the scene of a small plane crash on a highway in northern New Jersey.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Jim Peters says the aircraft crashed onto Interstate 287 in Harding.

Peters says there's no word yet on injuries or what happened.

Helicopter footage from News 12 New Jersey shows charred wreckage in the median and on the highway itself.
