SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the discovery of a woman's body that was stuffed under the wooden frame of a bed at a Salt Lake City motel.
Investigators were called Thursday to the Capitol Motel after a guest noticed a foul stench in the room.
Authorities say 28-year-old Thomas Kumalac was the last person to see the woman alive. He is now in jail on suspicion of murder after being arrested late Thursday.
It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney. Authorities have not yet released a cause of death.
They identified the victim as 26-year-old Jessica I. Jensen.
