Officials with the Miss Connecticut Outstanding Teen pageant say a teenager will likely continue to hold her crown through the end of her reign, but is suspended from all pageant-related activities.
Hartford, Conn. (AP) - Officials with the Miss Connecticut Outstanding Teen pageant say a teenager will likely continue to hold her crown through the end of her reign, but is suspended from all pageant-related activities.

The reign of 17-year-old Rachael Ramonas has been on hold since a Feb. 21 party at her home where 24 teens were cited with underaged drinking. It's unclear if Ramonas was among those issued a ticket.

The Miss Connecticut Scholarship Corp. says it is waiting for court proceedings to end before the group decides if Ramonas can keep her title. She is prohibited from wearing her sash and crown in public.

Court proceedings could take months, but Ramonas' term ends in June. Attempts to reach her were unsuccessful.
