Tom Jones cancels Monte Carlo concert
MONACO (AP) — Singer Tom Jones has canceled a concert in Monte Carlo, saying doctors diagnosed him with severe dehydration and ordered him not to take the stage.
Saturday's concert was to have been 71-year-old singer's final show of a 3-month "Praise & Blame" tour.
Twitter was abuzz with rumors that Jones had heart problems. But a statement on the singer's website Sunday says he has "NO heart problems" and blamed a long tour "where many of the shows were in locations that were in the throes of high summer heat."
In the statement the crooner also thanked fans for their understanding and support.
