HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) — A trial has been delayed for a biology professor charged with killing three colleagues at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Madison County Circuit Judge Alan Mann granted a defense motion to delay the start date of March 19 because of a dispute over whether the state would pay expenses for defense expert witnesses.

Amy Bishop is charged with capital murder in the three deaths in a shooting outburst at a faculty meeting on Feb. 12, 1010. She is also charged with three counts of attempted murder for wounding three others during the shooting spree.

She is also charged with murder in the shotgun slaying of her brother in Massachusetts in 1986.
