MIAMI (AP) — Forecasters say Tropical Storm Don has formed in the southern Gulf of Mexico and its track over the next several days shows that it's headed toward southeastern Texas.
The National Hurricane Center in Miami said Wednesday that it doesn't appear the storm will strengthen into a hurricane.
Forecasters say maximum sustained winds are at 40 mph (65 kph). The center of the storm is about 755 miles (1215 kilometers) east-southeast of Corpus Christi, Texas.
No coastal watches or warnings are in effect.
