(CNSNews.com) – Asked whether GOP runner up Rick Santorum will have a primetime speaking spot at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Mitt Romney's presidential campaign said on Wednesday that it has not been announced.

CNSNews.com asked the Romney campaign in an e-mail, “Will Rick Santorum be speaking at the Republican National Convention in Tampa?” and “Will the Santorum speech be in prime time?”

Romney campaign spokeswoman replied to CNSNews.com, “We haven’t announced convention speakers yet.”

Santorum, a former Pennsylvania senator, won 11 states during the Republican primary season before ultimately losing to presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney, a former Massachusetts governor.
