BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — A Colorado woman arrested on an outstanding warrant disputes allegations that she threw her pita sandwich at a cab driver in Boulder.
Twenty-eight-year-old Sarah Renee Lane told the Daily Camera that the cabbie yelled at her when she tried to bring food into the taxicab early Sunday.
Lane says she used an expletive word as she got out, prompting the driver to also get out and grab the gyro from her. Lane says she can't remember what happened next, but friends watching nearby say the driver threw the sandwich at her.
Police records say Lane threw the pita at the driver, spattering yogurt sauce in his beard and face. She was arrested because she had failed to appear in court on a dog-at-large ticket.
