Woman pleads guilty to baby kidnap in San Diego
SAN DIEGO (AP) — A woman who posed as a child-care worker to steal a 2-month-old girl in San Diego has pleaded guilty to kidnapping and child abduction.
The San Diego Union-Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/us965Z ) Talia Gore entered her plea Thursday. She'll be sentenced next month to six years in prison.
Prosecutors say a woman was pushing a stroller near San Diego City College in May when she met Gore, who claimed to work at the school's Child Development Center.
Gore suggested the woman enroll in a program for young mothers and sent her to a nearby high school. Authorities say the mother left her child with Gore for a few minutes and returned to find her gone.
Gore was arrested three hours later at a trolley station. The child was unharmed.
