MSNBC Video Shows Navy Yard Shooter Wielding an AR-15 FBI Says He Didn't Have

Following the tragic shooting at the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. on Monday September 16, the liberal media were quick to jump on the myth that accused shooter Aaron Alexis used an AR-15 to kill 12 innocent people. Continuing with that myth, MSNBC created and aired an animated video "depicting" how Aaron Alexis killed 12 people at the Navy Yard.

The video showing the shooter using an AR-15 first appeared on MSNBC on September 17 - the same day the FBI reported that the shooter did not have an AR-15 - seems to be one more example of the media's factually inaccurate anti-gun crusade.

While the error of this video might not bother those at MSNBC, it's sure to irk the millions of Americans who support the Second Amendment. The Navy Yard shooter never used an AR-15 to kill 12 individuals; he entered the complex with a double-barreled shotgun - but, the media immediately reported that he had an AR-15, and MSNBC followed suit by creating this video.

While such misinformation may be used to scare Americans into supporting greater restrictions on the Second Amendment, the millions of responsible gun owners need to continue to speak up and expose the dangerous myth like the one pedaled by MSNBC.
