(CNSNews.com) – At a rally for his alleged presidential run, rapper and record producer Kanye West denounced abortion, revealing that his mother had saved his life and that his wife, Kim Kardashian, had saved the life of their daughter, North, by rejecting abortion.

The Bible says, ‘Thou shall not kill,” said West, adding that he had “almost killed” his own daughter. West wore a bulletproof vest at the event and had the number “2020” shaved on the back of his head.

At the rally in North Charleston, S.C., on Sunday, West spoke about how he and his wife discussed the pregnancy of their first child, daughter North “Nori” West.  They considered abortion at one point and Kardashian even had “the pills in her hand,” pills that cause an abortion, said West.

West cited the Bible, stating, “In the Bible, it says, 'Thou shall not kill.’” He then described calling his wife one day during the pregnancy and she said to him, “We're gonna have this baby,” and he replied, “We're gonna have this child.”

"Even if my wife were to divorce me after this speech," said West, "she brought North into the world, even when I didn't want to. She stood up, and she protected that child."

Becoming very emotional and crying, West yelled, “I almost killed my daughter! I almost killed my daughter! ”

In his remarks, West further revealed, "My mom saved my life. My dad wanted to abort me. My mom saved my life. There would've been no Kanye West because my dad was too busy."

Paradoxically, West said abortion should be legal but it should be discouraged through financial incentives.

Instead of the emergency contraceptive pill Plan B, West proposed that there should be a "Plan A." Plan A would involve giving $50,000 per year to help women take care of a child. He also said, “Everybody that has a baby gets a million dollars,” calling this suggestion “Maximum Increase.”

Though he has missed the deadline to register as a candidate in several states, West attempted to reach the 10,000 signatures required by South Carolina to get on the presidential ballot as an independent candidate.

West has been extremely successful in several music genres, as well as in fashion design/clothing. He has won more than 250 music awards and is considered one of the most important and influential musicians of the 21st century. West has an estimated net worth of $1.3 billion, according to Forbes.
