(CNS News)— “We will preserve the America we love for you,” President Donald Trump promised young supporters in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday.

Addressing a packed house of three thousand students at an event co-hosted by Turning Point USA and Students for Trump at Dream City Church, the president was greeted with deafening applause and chants of “USA! USA! USA!”

The president said he was “thrilled to be in Arizona with thousands of patriotic, young Americans who stand up tall for America and refuse to kneel to the radical left” and thanked his supporters for “bravely defending the nation, our values and our great American heroes.”

“You are fighting against an oppressive left-wing ideology that is driven by hate and seeks to purge all dissent,” the president said, warning that “The radical left demands absolute conformity” and “Anyone who dissents from their orthodoxy must be punished, canceled or banished.”

But, Trump said, his supporters won’t be silenced, because they are “courageous warriors” who are “standing up for faith and family, God and country and freedom!”

“The radical left, they hate our history. They hate our values, and they hate everything we prize as Americans,” Trump said, warning that “If you give power to people that demolish monuments and attack churches and seize city streets and set fire to buildings, then nothing is sacred and no one is safe.”

“We are here today to declare that we will never cave to the left-wing and left-wing intolerance,” President Trump said. “We will never surrender to mob violence, and we will uphold American freedom, equality and justice for every citizen of every background. That is who we are.”

Trump said his supporters are “bound together by a shared set of moral principles and enduring truths” and a belief that America is a great and righteous nation worth preserving.

“We have to cherish our past,” he said, “We have to cherish good or bad and understand our past. We have to understand our history. If we don’t know our history, it could all happen again.”

“The radical let thinks the future belongs to them,” but, in reality, “It belongs to the people who love our country,” Trump said:

“You’re going to be the ones that are at the crossroads of history… Everything our forefathers built, everything generations past, they shed their blood to defend the very survival of our freedoms, our rights and our republic. They’re all at stake.”

“This is a very big time in our country. It’s a time like perhaps no other, but standing here before you today, I have never been more confident that America will rise to new heights of greatness and glory because your generation is proving that your hearts are filled with the fire and the fervor of true American patriots.

“The great spirit of righteous defiance stirs deep within you, I see that… It’s this same fierce, untamed American spirit that will lead young patriotic Americans of this generation to serve our country and you will serve it well. You will serve it so well.”

Trump closed by making a promise to the nation’s youth:

“We will preserve the America we love for you, for your children, we will defend our values, our voices, our faith, our heritage, our borders, our rights, and our God-given freedoms.”

“We will unite citizens of every race and color, religion and creed as one people, one family and one extraordinary nation under God.”
