(CNS News) -- A new survey of California voters -- a blue state -- shows that more of them disapprove (48%) of President Joe Biden's job performance than approve (47%). In addition, the poll shows that only 38% of California voters approve of Vice President Kamala Harris' job performance while 46% disapprove.
The survey further reveals that Sen. Diane Feinstein's (D) approval is down to 30%. Some 49% disapprove of Feinstein's job performance.
The poll of 8,937 California registered voters was conducted by the Institute of Governmental Studies (IGS) at the University of California, Berkeley, Feb. 3-10.

"California voter assessments of the job that Biden is doing as president have declined since last summer, as about as many voters disapprove (48%) as approve (47%) of his overall performance," said IGS. "Last July Biden’s approval rating was positive, 59% to 37%."
"The poll also finds Harris receiving even lower marks than the president in her home state," reported IGS. "At present, just 38% approve and 46% disapprove of her performance as vice president, a reversal from the 49% positive and 38% negative job marks she received last July."
Among male California voters, 54% disapprove of Biden's performance and only 43% approve. Among female voters, 43% disapprove and 51% approve.
Among voters age 18-29, only 34% approve of Biden while 53% disapprove. For Harris, only 30% of those same voters approve while 46% disapprove.

"California’s two U.S. senators, Dianne Feinstein, and Alex Padilla, receive very different job marks from the state’s voters," reported IGS. " While more voters can offer an opinion of Feinstein, now serving her fifth full term in the Senate, than can rate Padilla, fewer approve of her performance than Padilla, and nearly twice as many disapprove."
"Overall, Feinstein’s job ratings are 49% disapprove and 30% approve," said the survey group. "For Padilla, 34% approve and 26% disapprove, with 40% of voters not able to offer an assessment."
Feinstein was first elected to the Senate in 1992. Today, she is 88 years old.
On a related note, although Democrats control both the House and Senate, the survey shows that only 20% of California voters approve of Congress' performance -- 72% disapprove.
