(CNSNews.com) - President Donald Trump had a “wonderful, warm conversation” with former Vice President Joe Biden on Monday about how to deal with the coronavirus, the president announced at the White House press briefing on Monday.

“I also spoke just a few minutes ago with Vice President, former Vice President Biden, who called, and we had a really wonderful, warm conversation. It was a very nice conversation. We talked about pretty much this. This is what we talked about,” Trump said.

“This is what everyone's talking about. This is what they want to talk about, and he gave me his point of view and I fully understand that, and we had a very friendly conversation, [which] lasted probably 15 minutes. It was really good. It was really good, really nice. I appreciate his calling,” the president said.

The conversation was short and lasted 15 minutes, Trump said.

Biden had suggestions on how to deal with COVID-19, and the president told him some of the things his administration is doing to deal with it.

“We had a good talk. We weren't going to talk about what we said. It was a warm talk. I enjoyed it. I hope he enjoyed it too. It was short, 15 minutes,” Trump said.

“He had suggestions. It doesn't mean I agree, but he certainly had suggestions, and I also told him some of the things we are doing, but the conversation was a friendly, very friendly conversation,” the president said.
