Nationally syndicated radio host Mark Levin questioned President Obama’s priorities on his June 2 broadcast, saying that “black people are being slaughtered in one city after another -- I mean slaughtered,” while the president is tweeting his congratulations to transgender Bruce ‘Caitlyn’ Jenner.
"Why isn’t the president holding a summit on this? Why are we hearing nothing from Washington on this?" asked Levin.
Here is a transcript of what Levin said:
“I asked last week, I asked the week before, I asked yesterday: do black lives matter? Well, black people are being slaughtered in one city after another -- I mean slaughtered. They’re like wartime numbers. And they’re being slaughtered mostly by other black people. Why isn’t the president holding a summit on this? Why are we hearing nothing from Washington on this?
“I’m quite serious about this. Is it because the problem is intractable? It shouldn’t be. I mean, folks, it seems to me we get all the usual ‘yap, yap, yap’ about redistributing wealth, and new programs, and a new bureaucracy, and tax this one, and cut that one, and subsidize this one, and all we need is more money for Baltimore!
“Well, more money for Baltimore doesn’t mean more money for the people of Baltimore. We’ve learned that too.
“ But this isn’t about money. It goes deeper than that. Why won’t the president talk about this? Why is he tweeting about -- what the hell is Bruce Jenner’s name now? I can’t remember -- I’m not trying to be rude. What is it? Caitlyn Jenner. What is he wasting time on that for? In fact, what the hell is the whole country wasting time on that for?”
