It’s “absolute insanity” to condone the destruction of great U.S. cities like Chicago, political analyst and Investigative Journalist Geraldo Rivera said Monday, commenting on the chaos that ravaged the Windy City over the weekend when hundreds of supposed social justice protesters destroyed and looted businesses.

In an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Rivera said that that his friends in Chicago tell him they’re terrified by what’s taking place in their city:

“This is absolute insanity. We condone the destruction of a great city. And the terrorizing - I have friends in Chicago, we talked to them today. They’re terrorized now. Their property values have plummeted.”

The mob violence and destruction in cities like Chicago are allowed to continue because Democrats and their subservient media allies “have made a stone cold decision” to ignore it, Rivera said:

“They have made a stone cold decision, Sean, to ignore the mayhem, to ignore the murder, to ignore the absolute chaos and the anarchy.

“They’ve made a decision - and they’ve communicated that decision to their allies in the media. So, if you watch the other channels, you won’t see the rioting. You won’t see the looting, and even in the report that we showed from Fox 32, you heard in the background they were justifying the rape of the Miracle Mile in terms of social justice and reparation.”

Democrats are the “biggest ally” of those using past social injustices as an excuse to rob and vandalize businesses and harm others, Rivera said.

“They justify it, the Black Lives Matter and allies and the Democrats - their biggest ally – with talking about the slavery in 1619 and that’s why they robbed the Dior store or busted in the windows, or that’s why they shot 40 people, because of social justice inequities in the past. That’s why, in D.C., 11 women could get shot yesterday. There is an absolute perversion going that’s going on.”

“They do it in the name of winning an election - we are going to lose a country,” Rivera concluded.
