The holidays have been sullied by Democrats’ decision to move forward with articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump – and no amount of showering will be able to fully remove the filth Americans will be subjected to – political commentator Geraldo Rivera said Thursday.
Rivera took to Twitter to react to House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s announcement that Democrats will proceed with impeachment, warning Americans to prepare for “partisan mud wrestling”:
“In targeting @realDonaldTrump @SpeakerPelosi & her Democratic colleagues have just doomed us to a holiday season dirtied up by the partisan mud wrestling we are about to endure. At the end we’ll shower-but some dirt will cling as reputations are ruined & partisan hatred festers.”
Earlier in the day, Rivera tweeted his disgust with liberal attacks on President Trump’s family, such as Wednesday’s “name shaming” of Trump’s teen son by a witness in Democrats’ House Judiciary Committee hearing.
“To leftist intellectuals it has become okay to be rude or insulting as long as the target is named Trump, Rivera wrote:
“@FLOTUS is right. #NameShaming #BarronTrump a 13-year old is what Mean Girls do in Middle School. Very revealing about lack of intellectual rigor & objectivity in this ‘expert’ witness, #PamelaKarlan. She & her 2 Dem colleagues are #NeverTrumpers -partisans in academic disguise.”
“Sad that insulting or ignoring the first family has become appropriate conduct in the partisan cage match. From fashion magazines to leftist intellectuals it has become okay to be rude or insulting as long as the target is named Trump.”
