“Blaming Trump is the thing to do these days,” journalist and Radio Host Geraldo Rivera said Thursday, asking if the president will also be ‘blamed’ for the surging U.S. economy.
“U.S. Economy grows at stunning 33% in Third Quarter. Jobless claims also down significantly. Will @realDonaldTrump be blamed?” Rivera tweeted Thursday, reacting to economic reports released earlier in the day.

Up stunning 33% in 3rd quarter. But Big Media is so toxic @realDonaldTrump won’t get credit. Although he will be blamed for #COVID19 resurgence. Blame Trump is what Democrats do best, while ignoring #HunterBiden scandal pic.twitter.com/OpRSaCD1MZ
As Rivera predicted, when CNSNews.com asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) Thursday if she'd give Pres. Trump credit for the record GDP growth, she refused to do so.
In a follow-up post introducing his daily Twitter video, Rivera says that the media won’t give Pres. Trump credit for the “booming” economy – but, they and the Democrats will blame him for the recent wave of coronavirus infections:
“Economy booming- Up stunning 33% in 3rd quarter. But Big Media is so toxic @realDonaldTrump won’t get credit. Although he will be blamed for #COVID19 resurgence. Blame Trump is what Democrats do best, while ignoring #HunterBiden scandal”
“Donald Trump gets blamed for everything,” Rivera says in his video commentary:
“Some good news to start: the United States economy just grew at a stunning 33 percent, over 33 percent, in the third quarter. Jobless claims are also down significantly.
“Donald Trump gets blamed for everything, it just seems to me. Will he be “blamed,” quote-unquote, for this surging U.S. economy?”
And, before Americans jump to blame Trump for the country’s recent spike in coronavirus infections, they should realize that the virus has surged in other countries, too – and they can’t blame Trump for that – Rivera says:
“Before you blame Trump for what’s happening in the United States – although, I’m sure many people will, just because blaming Trump is the thing to do these days – you should note that there are many, many countries in Europe similarly going through this big second wave of deadly virus infections.
“We got France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Spain, Russia, among others, imposing mandatory mask mandates or seclusion again, hibernation, quarantines again.
“So, you can’t blame Trump for what’s happening in Europe and the rest of the world.”
