Commentator and Journalist Geraldo Rivera is challenging the notion that Joe Biden never asked his son Hunter how he made a fortune in the Ukraine, a country that the former vice president was monitoring at the time.
In a Tuesday tweet, Rivera posed a question: how would you have reacted if you were in then-Vice President Joe Biden’s position and your "troubled, drug-addled" son suddenly struck it rich:
“Say you’re Vice President-your son is troubled-drug addled-tossed out of the military-Happens-We’re only as happy as our unhappiest child. Now your kid strikes it rich in a country you’re charged with monitoring. Millions pour in. Do you ask “Congrats kid how’d you do it?” Or not”

Actor Kevin Sorbo asked a similar question on Twitter Tuesday, noting that if one of his children had made a fortune, he would certainly have known about it:
“I have three kids. If ONE of them was successful I would have known about it...are people really buying that Joe didn’t know his son was ‘filthy’ rich?”
In an earlier tweet on Tuesday, Rivera suggested that the laptop allegedly belonging to Hunter Biden and containing emails discussing lucrative, influence-peddling relationships with the Ukraine and China should be a major topic of Thursday night’s presidential debate between Biden and President Donald Trump:
“Start with #HunterBidenEmails unless and until the @JoeBiden campaign can credibly deny computer belongs to Hunter or allege its contents have been altered, then computer should be front and center in campaign.”
