Gun Store Gives Out Beto O'Rourke 'Salesman of the Month' T-Shirts

A Tempe, Arizona gun store has named former Democrat presidential hopeful Robert Francis (“Beto”) O’Rourke its “Salesman of the Month” for November – and is giving away t-shirts in his honor.

Alpha Dog Firearms has enjoyed surging sales since it made national news by launching a wildly successful “Beto Specials” promotion the day after O’Rourke declared, “Hell, yes, we’re going to take you AR-15, your AK-47” during a Democrat presidential debate in September.

Alpha Dog Owner Matt Boggs says he was so outraged by O’Rourke’s comment that he announced his “Beto Specials” sale on AR-15 and AK-47 rifles on Facebook the next morning. The response was overwhelming: Alpha Dog sold 200 rifles in one two-hour period and had to post a “Sold Out” message by that afternoon.

Last Saturday (Nov. 30), Alpha Dog posted a picture of its Beto O’Rourke “Salesman of the Month” t-shirt, urging its Facebook fans to “Come grab one before they’re gone.” Early birds had their choice of three shirt colors: red, grey or blue.

The previous day, Black Friday gun sales, as measured by FBI background checks, posted their second-highest total on record, USA Today reports:

“The FBI fielded more than 200,000 background checks on Black Friday gun purchases, continuing a steady surge this year following a series of mass shootings that have renewed calls for more restrictive gun laws.

“In all, the bureau posted 202,465 checks Friday, an 11% increase from last year and falling just short of the single-day record: 203,086 in 2017.”
