“The View” Co-Host Whoopi Goldberg says she won’t go outside until she’s sure “everybody” out there has received a coronavirus vaccination.
And, that probably won’t be until she’s in her 90s, Goldberg declared on Monday’s episode of the show:
“Quite frankly I'm not going outside until I know everybody outside has had the shot. So, I'm going to be wearing my mask, probably you know, into my 90s. But that’s just me though.”
Comparing coronavirus vaccines to the measles vaccine, Goldberg said COVID is “not going to allow us to be without masks until” all Americans get a coronavirus vaccine:
“Remember when measles wasn’t an issue, and then it became an issue because people stopped vaccinating their kids? And, then, we had nothing but measles outbreaks. There is something to be said for paying attention to that.
“We need to do this, and it’s not going to allow us to be without masks until – until we all do it.
“Because, quite frankly, I'm not going outside until I know everybody outside has had the shot. So I'm going to be wearing my mask, probably you know, into my 90s.”
“But that’s just me though.”
Also on the show, Co-host Sunny Hostin blamed “White Evangelicals” and Republicans for being hesitant to get the vaccine – and called for viewers to “shun” such people. Read more at NewsBusters.
