Watch: NYPD Officers Turn Their Backs To Mayor De Blasio

By Eric Scheiner | December 21, 2014 | 8:34am EST

Police officers can be seen turning their backs on Mayor Bill de Blasio in a video from PIX11.

The mayor was walking into a police press conference about the two NYPD officers shot and killed execution-style in Brooklyn.

De Blasio weaved through the officers on his way to the presser with Police Commissioner Bill Bratton at Woodhull Hospital Saturday evening.

Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were taken to Woodhull after 28-year-old Ismaaiyl Brinsley, shot and killed them.

Many NYPD officers were angry at de Blasio even before the killings, accusing the mayor of inciting weeks of protests and maligning the entire police department after a grand jury decided not to try the officer who killed Eric Garner.
