President Obama “is incapable of acknowledging radical Islamic terror,” said nationally syndicated radio host Sean Hannity on his July 17 broadcast, criticizing a video statement in which Obama referred to the attack on two military recruiting offices last Thursday as a “heartbreaking circumstance.”
“Why can’t this president utter the words ‘radical Islamic terrorism’?” asked Hannity a day after Mohammed Abdulazeez shot and killed four Marines and a sailor in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
“Why can’t this president acknowledge an enemy that is sworn to America’s destruction?’ Why is this so difficult for him?”
Here is the transcript of what Hannity said:
“There is an obsessive, almost compulsive, inexplicable -- the president is incapable of acknowledging radical Islamic terror.
“The president is so factually wrong about the founding of America and the early contributions of Muslims right here in America. This is a country that was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. That is not even open for debate, it is so clear. It doesn’t mean that Muslims haven’t made good contributions to the world. That’s not what we’re talking about.
“You know, look at the compare and contrast. the President: ‘The horrible deeds done in the name of Christ in the Crusades’ -- which were really just an effort of Christians to get back lands that had been conquered by Muslim armies.
“Why can’t this president utter the words ‘radical Islamic terrorism’? The official government position, to this day, on what happened at Fort Hood is that this was an incident of workplace violence. The president said: 'We take all shootings very seriously, seems to be a lone wolf.'
“Jonah Goldberg has a piece today: Zero Tolerance for the Confederate Flag, Nuance for Islamic Terror. What’s that all about?
"Why can’t this president acknowledge an enemy that is sworn to America’s destruction? Why is this so difficult for him? Why is this so hard for him?
“Why does he bend over backwards day in and day out, speech in and speech out, to, you know, say everything he could possibly say good about Islam, constantly take shots at Christianity, hang out in the church of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, black liberation theology. After 9/11, ‘America’s chickens have come home to roost. G-D America.’
“What is wrong with this person?”
